Welcome to Phase II of the Gaining Ground campaign!  The 2009-2010 school year marks the Metrolina Regional Scholars' Academy's 10 th anniversary serving highly gifted students in North Carolina.  This year we invite donors to consider one consolidated pledge that will support operating expenses and assist in paying for our new home at on 77 Center Drive.  The Scholars' Academy must raise $585,000 to complete our balanced budget this year and build a new future - an average of $2,200 per child

A pledge form and additional information related to the 2009-2010 combined campaign are below.  Thank you for supporting Scholars' Academy!

SchoolCenter Picture"...Almost 100 years ago Leta Hollingworth observed that the highly gifted already know virtually everything that is taught in their elementary classrooms.  Unfortunately, across this country that has not changed.

Here in Charlotte, (the Scholars' Academy) meets these children where they are, that provides for them an education with the breadth and depth they need, at a rate that suits the way they learn.  A permanent location with room to grow is essential to keep this critically important school doing its work.  I look forward to a time when it will be a showcase to which educators from across the country can come to learn how the possibilities of a public education for gifted and highly gifted children can grow from the concept of the charter school movement."
